As many know, David Douglas High School families have been impacted greatly by the shutdown. Please consider a donation of any amount to support families in our community.
Donations to the David Douglas High School SUN (Schools Uniting Neighborhoods) program can go towards:
- The Pantry: Purchasing products such as masks, soap, bread, eggs and milk for the David Douglas High School community. Funds can also go toward gift cards for families to buy toilet paper, baby wipes – things that currently can not be purchased in bulk.
- Rental Assistance: Supporting David Douglas High families who are unable to make rent due to job layoffs. David Douglas is currently prioritizing families who are not able to receive unemployment or stimulus checks.
- Energy Assistance: Support DDHS families who are unable to pay utilities due to job layoffs.
- Internet Access: Funds would be used to set up families with the Comcast basic internet package of 9.99 per month.
Checks should be sent to Self Enhancement Inc at 3920 N Kerby Ave, Portland, OR 97227. Checks are preferred to cash. Checks should be made out to Self Enhancement Inc with “David Douglas SUN Donations” in the memo line.
