Influencing District Investments
- Formed Gateway Investment Group (Formerly Halsey/Weidler Group) to provide input on $30 million in streetscape improvements
- Testified in favor of $2 million for increased community police foot patrols
- Hosted Mayor Ted Wheeler, Commissioners Eudaly, Fish, Fritz and Saltzman, and speakers from Portland Development Commission, Portland Police Bureau, Portland Parks & Recreation, Office of Neighborhood Involvement and other agencies to get feedback from businesses

Representation

- Member dues help cover GABA’s Venture Portland membership and benefits including grant eligibility and trainings
- City Commissioner Nick Fish serves as a liaison to Venture Portland
- GABA received $6,600 in grants last year + a 12 hour/week paid staff person
